The Moon
Presenters: John Cunningham & Ben Evans
Broadcast: Every Saturday 7-8pm
John has travelled the world as a professional gardener and picked up music on the way. “Passion is everything in the show; be it an early Mississippi blues track from the forties to the Propellerheads via Dale Winton reading ‘Kubla Khan’ - it’s all there. The music we play is a soundtrack to our lives; we don’t have a set format like commercial stations, so we play the music we believe in.” says John.
Ben, who has done everything from flying birds of prey and juggling (although not at the same time) to website design, has spent many years writing and recording his own music. He has been truly inspired by the new generation of internet-based music as a medium for the distribution of unsigned musicians.
"Our show is inner space filled with inspirational music, poetry, humour and even the odd word of wisdom”, adds Ben.
John and Ben compile their show in space via a link in Longhope, from a home-based recording studio, where they also write and compose their own rather bizarre brand of music.
So try to stay in tune with “the moon”. You never know, it may just change your life! At least for an hour……
“Like it now, learn to love it later - tune in and break that knob off!”
